Our Coaching Program

Tuesday Night Double Handed Coaching & Foiling

Robbs Hielkma

This session includes . . .

Feva Sailing: This is aimed at sailors who wish to start sailing in a double handed boat (Feva). It is not a requirement to already have a partener organised to attend the session as a Feva sailor.

29er Sailing: The Club has two 29ers available for those sailors with double handed experience, that are ready to progress to 29er. A discussion with Robbs Andy or Aevril, about whether you or your sailor is ready to progress to 29er is an important step before registering in a double handed session to sail 29er.

Foiling Fleets: Robbs will be giving tips and pointers to any foiling sailors who would like to come along to get time on the water.

Wednesday Night Level 2

Ross Johnston & Rawiri Gabb Warren

To attend this session sailors need (at minimum) to be able to rig, launch and retrieve themselves confidently  and self-rescue (within reason) after a capsize. If you are not sure this session is suitable please call Robyn on 021 855 986 to discuss further.

Thursday Night Single Handed - Let’s Go Racing

This session focuses on mastering Level 3 boat handling skills and learning to fine tune your racing skills in single handed dinghies. This session contains drills and activities that build racing skills.

Sunday Casual Fun Sailing for Club Members

We have no Friday Fun Sail this term, however if you are looking for a time to come and sail with other people around and some safety cover on the water, sailing in the inner Bay area (opposite the Club) during Club Racing is an opportune time for this. Before going on the water please ensure you have let the safety vessel skipper know that you intend to sail and that you would like them to keep an eye out on you. Remember to sign on and off the water. Club Boat hire forms are available in the Club and you can hire boats via the QR code on the window. The Casual boat hire procedure is as follow:
